Accommodation

The basis for an unforgettable stay

Your accommodation is very important for the success of your stay abroad. If your accommodation is to your liking, you will feel more at ease and will complete the internship and study program more successfully. Because Social Work Platform works with quality partners in its destinations, more attention is also paid to the selection of good accommodations. This is done by specialized employees there, who, with their many years of experience, know how to find the best places for you.

TYPE OF ACCOMMODATIONS

HOTEL

We offer hotel accommodation in various places, ranging from a youth hostel to a middle-class hotel or Bed & Breakfast.

We can offer all kinds of (other) hotel types on request at almost all locations. In that case, we would like to hear what the wishes are, so that we can make a suitable offer.

STUDENT APARTMENT

Here you have a high degree of independence and a lot of contact with fellow students from other countries. Sometimes this form of accommodation is also offered by private individuals. The furnishing is usually simple and you share the kitchen and bathroom with your roommates.

APARTMENTS AND STUDIOS

Independent apartments and studios are suitable if you want to live completely independently and with more comfort.

SCHOOL RESIDENCE OR CAMPUS

Ranging from a large mansion to a campus with hundreds of students. In many cases in the immediate vicinity - or even on the premises - of the school, minimizing travel time. You often share the facilities with others. Sometimes there is a canteen or canteen. It goes without saying that you have a lot of contact with fellow students here.

HOST FAMILY

We can heartily recommend staying with a host family. It is an ideal practice situation to immediately put into practice what you have learned in the lessons. Moreover, you get to know the people, their way of life and the customs of the country better. The word 'family' should not be taken too literally in this context: a host family is not in all cases a family with growing children, but can also be a single person or a hospitable older couple. When several students stay at one address, they will be of different nationalities as much as possible.

Of course, this form of accommodation requires some adjustment from both the host family and the course participant; family life goes on and the (eating) habits will sometimes be different than at home. Country wise, country honour. However, you will soon feel at home with your host family. You get a house key so you can go where you want. Our experience is that staying with a host family almost always contributes to an unforgettable time abroad. Bringing a typical present / souvenir for the host family often works wonders.
